Museum of London Docklands

(photo of family playing in the 'Mudlark' area)

A busy day for Stepney Partnership families at the Museum of London in Docklands today! We took the DLR from Limehouse to Canary Wharf, and then walked over the pedestrian bridge to the museum.

Our time in the museum started with an interactive storytelling session - hearing about the adventures of Dick Whittington in London. We then explored 'Sailortown' a series of dark alleys and passages which recreated London in the Victorian era, even the smell! Finally we ended up in 'Mudlark' - a mulit-sensory play area for younger children. A great adventure!
